    Day of Wrongness

Monday, August 11, 2008, 05:33 PM CST [General]

Another beautiful weekend at faire.  The weather was perfect.  I can't beleive how nice this summer has been for faire.  I hope it stays that way for the 3 weekends left.

Saturday saw overcast skies which I think kept most people away.  It only rained for about 5 minutes around 6 of the clock.  It was a great day to be at faire.  Not much going on, just the usual interaction with friends and laughing at our frolics.  Sometimes we do the most stupid things.  Why, I have not a clue.

Sunday was a busy day.  It was feast day, Day of Wrong and our Poker Runneth.  I wore chainmaille and had "Mischief" painted in braille.  I loved the people that actually tried to read it with their eyes.  Hello....braille.  Yes I know one can read braille, but come on...most of the people that make up the faire are not the people that can read braille.  There were quite a few that got the joke and "read" it with their fingers.  Soon it became "The bedtime story" to read.  My chainmaille consisted of a skirt with various chain letters on it.  Get it...chainmaille.  Ya.  Like I would ever wear chainmaille.  No, the cupcakes are filled enough and overflow would be a bad thing.  I have to admit no one spoiled the suprise and it was hilarious to see everyone come find me to see me in chainmaille.  The guys were hoping for the real thing...um no.

Dan went as Dirkslinger.  A celtic cowboy.  There were just way too many fantasies in that one costume.  He wore his cowboy boots with his kilt hose and flashes.  He had his totally western shirt that has the cowboy placket in the front which he wore quite sexily opened.  He had on his cowboy hat.  And his kilt.  He wore his belt and holster and put his dirk in the holster.  Ya...Dirkslinger.  It was good considering I came up with the idea an hour before we left in the morning.  Men!

We had the Slim Jim man (only in a yellow kilt), we had a Pirate Plumber complete with a Plumber's Cracken in the back of his pants (get it).  We had tutus and a bananna.  Some year I want to Pirates of Oz.  I want to make my pirate boots red and sparkling with the cute blue ginham bodice and skirt.  One of these years!

The poker run was fun.  Stu "don't rush me" O'Gara won.  He was so proud of it.  Everyone seemed to be having a good time and the feedback I got was that I was the only person at faire that can get all the various playtron groups to play together.  That was a good compliment.

Only three weekends left now.  Time is flying by, so we must be having fun!

    Weekend Four

Tuesday, July 29, 2008, 01:08 AM CST [General]

    Another weekend come and gone.

Saturday was busy.  It seemed everywhere I went someone wanted to talk to me.  Even when I sat down next to a dane, they wanted to talk.  It never seemed to stop.  The highlight of the day was seeing Monk back at the shoppe.  He looks thinner and paler but it was still incredible to hug him again.  He's very important to me and had anything happened to him, I would have been heartbroken.  Haggis and Scarlet were in for a weekend visit.  It's always good to see them.  He always make me feel beautiful.  Most of the day was just spent talking and laughing.

Sunday was just a blah day.  I was in a funk.  I had fun, but it always feels like something is missing.  I just don't seem to have the strength to do two days in a row anymore.

I think the stress from all the crap at home is getting to me.  I am tired of every weekday adding a new chapter to the drama.  It just never ends.  It never ends.

    Weekend thrice

Friday, July 25, 2008, 02:48 PM CST [General]

Satuday was a blast.  Not only was it a feast day, which meant lots of scrumptious food, it was also rainy which kept most of the mundanes away.  We pretty much had faire to ourselves.  I got a game of Drink or Dare going.  It was a huge success.  We all left the day in great spirits and with newfound friendships.

Sunday was HOT.  HUMID.  ICKY.  I think it was pretty much a let down from all the fun on Saturday.  We couldn't duplicate it.  The day started out with a rather obnoxious BOOTHIE.  Ha.  She proceeded to tell me my bodice was an underbust bodice.  I don't think so.  She decided to have a holier than thou attitude and I wasn't amused.  Whatever lady.  Take a drink and get a life.  We did a wench walk.  That ROCKED.  We ended the walk wenching Ded Bob.  Ha.  Smuj is a blast.  I really got to make a point to see his show wearing my boner bloomers.

We left early to come home and go swimming.  Nice idea.  Now the idea is running amok that we need to have a stay over party.  Everyone comes home with us on Saturday, we go swimming, crash and head back to faire on Sunday.  I think that might be the next stop on the Giggle Tour.

Monday all good things from faire were lost.  The step child of doom took the opportunity to "remove" things she thought she was entitled to without our knowledge or permission.  It's been a warzone here once again because of her actions.  Twenty going on 12.  She turned off her phone, real mature considering if anything happened to her father I would have no way of contacting her.  Charming child.  When she finally graced us with an email on Thursday, of course blaming her father, she said and I quote "for two years everything I want or need has been held hostage and I wanted to find a way around it."  I about fell over.  As if we care about the crap she took.  She can take more for all I care.  We changed the locks and soon won't have to pay for her cell phone.  Ya, that's hurting us.  Ouch.  Idiot.  But spoiled children never think of the repercussions, just of their immediate needs.  Me, however, now the repercussions and she ain't gonna like them!  Have an apple Snow White and don't choke on it!

    Best Third Weekend Ever

Monday, July 21, 2008, 10:07 AM CST [General]

Third weekend has come and gone.  But what a weekend it was.  Saturday was feast day.  All kinds of great food in FOF.  Boy, am I glad we stopped there first because we ended up having so much fun we didn't stop long enough to have any fun.  It was raining just enough to keep most of the danes away so the rennies had free reign of the faire.  Even the cast was stopping to interact with us because there was no one else there.

We started our game of Drink or Dare.  I think everyone was a wee bit apprensive at first.  But once it started going, it became more fun as the day went on.  We started off with "I'm a little teapot" and concluded with "Ode to the Wood".  There was "I'm to Sexy for the Ren Faire", "I've Got Big Balls" and "Like a Virgin".  That however, did get gonged.  I had to sing "White Christmas"  and after most of the day laughing and joking, I had no voice left to sing.  But I still did in Bing Crosby style and got the crowd singing along.  Someone had to introduce herself and add that she was "CUTE".  Men were proposed to by men and even men saying "Boobies Boobies Boobies."  I went over very well.

While wandering to a pub (I KNOW..hard to believe) I ran into Dustin Diamond, Screech from Saved by the Bell.  We actually had a few minute conversation.  It was hilarious to watch people's reaction.  I got my pix taken with him.  He's becoming a rennie.  He was off to buy garb.

Sunday was not nearly as much fun.  The people who couldn't make it for Saturday were greeted with "Yesterday was so much fun".  Somehow I got blamed for that.  I created too much fun on Saturday.  Sunday was so bloody hot it was exhausting.  I was asked to lead the walk.  In the end, we wenched Ded Bob.  I figure at least ask.  What's the worse he's going to say...no.  So Ded Bob had red lipstick on his cute little face all day.  We left early and went swimming.  So now, we need to plan a Saturday swim party/sleep over.

    Up to Mischief....again.....

Friday, July 18, 2008, 05:11 PM CST [General]

Alright EVERYONE, enough standing around drinking at the pubs.

Let us do something while drinking at the pubs.  Tomorrow is supposed to be wet, so let us make the most of the day!

I call a game of Pub tag.

I will not promote Flask Tag since we NEVER bring in flasks. That would be against the English laws.HOWEVER, we can play Pub Tag.

    Basically it's Truth or Dare.

The person instigating the game shall ask someone to Drink or Dare.  If that person chooses Drink, the sissy will have to buy the instigating person a drink.  However, if the person chooses Dare, then that person is given a dare.  Humping the trash can,
proclaiming love to a dane...Singing "I'm a little teapot" (which I know someone is really good at...coughcoughnoblecoughcough).  If they do the task given then both toast to a job well done and drink!

Now, I will have ribbons to hand out to those choosing to play so all know who can be picked on...I mean asked nicely to play along.

It's basically rose tag without the roses and with drinking involved.

Who's in???? Everyone is invited to play with the Homecoming Queen!!!
